Just 3 Class C drivers entered the Cadwell Park round of the championship. Unfortunately Kathy Sherry crashed during qualifying, as did Tony Hirst in the factory Class B ARV6. The resulting damage meant that both cars had to be retired.
This left Steve McDonald and Tim in the New Elms Plus 8 to fight for Class C honours, Tim starting from class pole position with Steve close behind.
After an exciting 30 minutes Tim came home first in class, 0.39 seconds behind the Class B car of Stuart Anderson. Steve was just over 3 seconds further back, but in trying to catch Tim he claimed fastest lap on the final circuit.
