As always at the beginning of August, the series made its annual visit by invitation from Bentley Drivers Club, to the short Silverstone National Circuit.

Again an “on-form” Steve McDonald beat Tim to class pole with Philip Tisdall 3rd, but again Tim made a better start to head the trio for the first couple of laps. The class lead changed more than once with Tim sneaking in front of Steve at Maggotts on the final lap, only to be baulked by a back marker at Brooklands allowing Steve to snatch back the lead. They were side by side at the chequered flag with only 0.112 seconds between them. Steve also managed fastest lap over Tim by 0.012 seconds.
